Butterflies inspire us!

Our Caterpillar Self

The Cocoon Stage

Our Butterfly Self (hooray!!!)

As our Caterpillar Self, we get stuck in our Comfort Zone.

Then we can feel like Anxiety is ‘attacking’ us.

Instead, what if Anxiety is an alert signal (from our Butterfly Self) —

a divine spark pulling us forward in our evolution?

In the Cocoon Stage,

we all experience:

fears… self-doubts… grief…

& various other growing pains....

(Ouch! Eeeeek! Aaargh!!!)

While at the same time,

we are also imagining,

feeling into, & therefore

becoming our Butterfly Self.

It’s a messy process with a meltdown in the middle.

Our Butterfly Self feels alive!!!

Yeah!

(I’ve studied: Byron Katie, Brooke Castillo, Dr. Phil Stutz‍ ‍(2), Joe Hudson, Marisa Peer, Terry Real, Russ Hudson, Dr. Beatrice Chestnut, Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Michael A. Singer, & more. Credit to coach Martha Beck for the butterfly metaphor.)

Trust in the process.

Believe in your Butterfly Self —

ahead of time (before you see any ‘evidence’).

Add playfulness — yeah!

Woo - hoo!
Let’s rock it!
Yay!!!

Joseph Campbell

“A good life is one hero journey after another. Over and over again, you are called to the realm of adventure, you are called to new horizons.

Each time, there is the same problem: do I dare? And then if you do dare, the dangers are there, & the help also, & the fulfillment or the fiasco.

There's always the possibility of a fiasco.

But there's also the possibility of bliss.”
